A fascinating half-glass, half-solid modern box in East Hampton

Fab interiors

This house’s facade reminds us of the comic book character Two-Face, for obvious reasons. Yet while it’s severe and austere outside, the greenery outside, visible through all the glass, and the colorful furniture and artwork makes the interior very appealing.

Neither the house, at 2200 square feet, with four bedrooms and three baths, nor the plot at 0.55 of an acre are huge, but the simplicity makes it seem bigger, at least in the photos. Out back there’s the requisite gunite pool and there’s a pool pavilion for escaping the sun. There’s also a deck off the great room and a master bedroom balcony. Asking price is $2.45M. What do you think—will anyone pay that much?
