A large metaphor is beached at Montauk Point

New, 3 comments

O the irony!

The owner of this vessel deliberately left his dream behind on Saturday afternoon. According to Marge Winski, Montauk Lighthouse keeper, via Facebook: "The boat was taking on water Saturday afternoon so the guy purposely beached it. The Coast Guard was called and pumped out the oil and fuel. The owner contacted a salvage company but they wanted too much money; they said he does not have insurance. He took some stuff off the boat, called a cab, and left town. The Harbor Master has a fistful of tickets for him."

All the electronics were stripped Sunday night as well as the propellers. Living the Dream, indeed.
