The third time is a charm at the Hampton Classic Grand Prix

the horsey set

Sunday, September 4, 2016, wrapped up the final day of the 41st annual edition of the Hampton Classic Horse Show. Featuring equine hunter and jumping competitions, this year’s event included more than 80 vendors peddling luxury goods. In the Longines chalet, fashion made a statement among attendees as we watched Richie Moloney riding Carrabis Z scoop up the win in the $300,000 Hampton Classic Grand Prix, presented by Longines.

Commenting on his impressive win, Moloney said, "I took a bit of a chance in the second to last fence and I rubbed it. I was a little lucky, but I guess it was our day." This win earned Moloney his third victory at the horse show for the third time in four years. The victor further said, "It means a lot to win the Grand Prix here. My horse has been amazing, this is his fourth grand prix win. It's very good to have him and I'm lucky to have my owners at Equinimity, and a great staff." Sometimes the old adage really is true, the third time is the charm, especially among the horsey set.
