Calling all dogs! Stroll to the sea to benefit ARF

Humans also permitted

One of our favorite events of the autumn is coming up: ARF's 23nd Annual Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk is set for Saturday, October 8 in East Hampton, between 9AM to noon. The two-mile walk to the ocean begins and ends at the historic Mulford Farm; you'll enjoy the beautiful scenery with your dog, and afterwards, there are fun dog contests (Dog/Companion Look Alike, the Pooch Who Can Smooch and Stupid Pet Tricks) and an agility course. Registration is $30 for adults ($35 day of), and all registrants get a T shirt with a cute design by Isaac Mizrahi (above), tote bag, and refreshments including Starbucks coffee and Dreesen's donuts. Dogs get free nail clippings (sorry!) and treats from South Fork Pet Company. Singer/songwriter Sandy Rapp will perform again, and there will be silent and Chinese auctions for humans and pets alike.

It’s easy to raise pledges by going to the link below. Set up your own page or join a team. The prizes for top fundraisers include three nights with a coastal view at the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, California; a summer share for the 2017 season at Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett; and a pet page in the 2018 ARF Pet Calendar. The top child prize (under 16) is a bicycle from the Sag Harbor Cycle Company.

See you there!
