Above is a one-room cottage for sale at 14 Huntting Road, East Hampton. There’s one bedroom and one bath in a teensy 214 square feet. Now that’s small.
The smallest place we’ve ever lived was the cottage where my family summered in Montauk when we were a kid, the back house to our grandmother’s house. It was about 600 square feet, and it slept six of us: our parents in twin beds in the bedroom and all four of us kids in beds lining the living area. We loved it.
How about you? What’s the smallest place you’ve ever lived? That tiny walk-up after college? A diminutive cottage you used to rent? Tell all in the comments and have fun.
