One year later, three million off the price of 178 Fowler Street, Southampton

Would be nice to see an actual built home

We guess that no shovels have hit the ground to start work on this house. The same renderings—which look very interesting and attractive—have been on the listing for the past year and the plot, as empty land, is still for sale.

Originally, the asking price was $29.95M; that was last September. Three days ago, $3M was chopped off the price. There’s 3.3 acres set on Jule Pond off a long driveway. The house, designed by Blaze Makoid, make copious use of glass, along with brick and wood. It is (or is planned to be) 13,000 square feet, with eight bedrooms and 10.5 baths. There’s a gym and home theater, while outside, there are "multiple outdoor covered living spaces, limestone patios with combined living/dining room, pergola, pool cabana with outdoor theatre, 20'x65' pool with spa, tennis court, and 2 exterior fireplaces."

What do you think? Worth it?
