Eric Lemonides and Jason Weiner, the owners of Almond, will launch Zigmund’s, in the former Fresh space, on July 25. Zigmund’s, named for Weiner’s wife Almond Zigmund, will be inspired a popular 1990s bar in the same location called the Wild Rose. "The Wild Rose was a great bar with food, drinks, awesome music and even a karaoke night. This is the vibe we are going for at Zigmund’s," says Lemonides.
Each night at Zigmund’s will bring a different theme. Monday: Industry/Locals Night. Wednesday: karaoke night. Thirsty Thursday will bring in $20 pitchers and $5 shots alongside bluegrass, blues and jazz.Friday: top 40 tunes and late night disco, with the Saturday Night Special with a disco DJ and Soul Train projected on to the ceiling. (Does that totally sound like fun or what?) The week closes out with Reggae Sunday. There will also be a piano player every night as well as happy hour.
