What You Can Buy in the Hamptons for $4M

In Sag Harbor, Wainscott, and Amagansett

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what you can rent or buy for a set dollar amount in various Hamptons towns. Is one person's studio another person's palace? Let's find out! Today's price: $4M.

Wainscott, 9 Oakwood Court. Located south of the highway, this property boats 1.3 acres of land. There’s a heated pool, an inground trampoline to tire the kids out, and multiple entertaining areas. The house is a spacious 5000sf barn style, with five bedrooms and 4.5 baths, including a first floor master and a guest wing with two bedrooms and a sitting area on the second floor.

Amagansett, 40 Gardiner Drive. In the Dunes, this new build is only a block away from a private walkway to a residents-only beach. The 3000sf cedar-shingled house is set on 0.28 of an acre and boasts a heated gunite pool. (Though granted, it’s pretty small at 12’ x 25’.) There’s also an outdoor shower and a mudroom/cabana in the 2800sf house, along with four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and an upstairs laundry.

Sag Harbor, 18 Oakland Avenue. This property offers a good sized plot for the area of just over a third of an acre, which includes a gunite pool and even a small pool house, as well as a detached two car garage. This house has been gorgeously renovated but keeps its old charm, with two fireplaces, a spanky new kitchen, four bedrooms and 4.5 baths. Other nice features include a second story deck and a screened in porch, and the location is close to downtown.
