This 1750 house was originally located on North Main Street and then moved to Mill Hill Lane in 1926. The good part is that an eight-foot foundation was poured in 1926, which is larger than you’d see in any other colonial house. Then six years ago central air, new mechanicals and a new kitchen were added. The house is now 2900sf, with five bedrooms and four baths, and it retains many of its original charming features. We’re pretty sure the house belongs to Jenny Ljungberg of the Maidstone, which the house abuts, which explains the vintage Swedish prints on the upholstery (Josef Frank by Svenskt Tenn among them). The plot size is 0.30 acre and includes a heated pool. As for the asking price of $2.995M, we tend to think it’s a little high. While it’s lovely to be able to walk to everything in the village, it’s right next to the hotel.
