The 2016 SUMMER RENTAL ROUNDUP: Southampton Edition

New, 1 comment

Hamptons rentals run the gamut from modest to superlative, from reasonably priced to Holy Crap! We'll bring you three rentals per destination in various prices as we head east; today, the privileged enclave of Southampton.

Modest
29 Towd Point Road, Southampton; Sotheby's
Price: $95,000 MD-LD
The Lowdown: This crisp modern in North Sea is close to Towd Point Beach. The house, which is 3500sf, has been newly remodeled. There are five bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The plot size is 0.8 of an acre, which is a flag lot for quiet and privacy. Of course there's a sparkling gunite pool and there's even an outdoor fireplace in a courtyard.

Nice
56 Barnhart Street , Southampton; Sotheby's
Price: $675,000 MD-LD
The Lowdown: For the gambrel lover, this new-build offers plenty of room to spread out. 10,000sf of space includes eight bedrooms, ten baths, six fireplaces, and a huge kitchen with four dishwashers and two pantries. Set on 2.5 acres in the village, the property offers a tennis court and a 50' x 30' pool.

Holy Crap!
1710 Meadow Lane, Southampton; T&C
Price: $1,200,000 MD-LD
The Lowdown: This five-acre oceanfront property used to belong to Linda Wachner. The house is 8500sf, with 10 bedrooms and 12.5 baths. Strangely, there's no tennis court, but there is of course a pool and spa. The house seems a little dated, but who's looking at the furniture when you could be gazing at those water views instead?
