Here Are Your Bed & Breakfast Options, If You're Thinking of Owning One

Ever wanted to own a bed and breakfast? At the moment, you have two options in The Hamptons. Unlike this Maine inn, you're going to have to cough up quite a bit of cash to nab these properties. Listed from most to least expensive, take a look through both choices below.

↑ Fishermen and homebuyers welcome! The Sail Inn in Montauk Harbor is up for grabs. This 1985-established B&B offers a 35-seat restaurant, 15-seat bar area, and an outdoor patio. Adjoining the furnished restaurant space is a two-story, 10-room motel. According to the Sail Inn's website, this business was one of the most affordable year-round hotels in Montauk. The asking price totals $2.95 million.

↑ In Shelter Island Historic Heights District, this listing is on the market for $1.1 million, making it the most affordable B&B available. It also offers the least amount of space with a quarter of an acre of land and four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms across 1,892 square feet. The biggest highlights for this listing might include the expansive porch and the outdoor fireplace.

Wondering what options you could have had had you thought about finding your next B&B a few years ago? The Ronjo Hotel, the Montauket, and The Cottages at South Lake in Montauk were all up for grabs in 2012.
