This modern architect-designed house (with a distinct flavor of the 80s) was built in 2013. It was purchased a year later by Jacqueline Bikoff, whose Dakota apartment (once Judy Garland's) was decorated in bright candy hues by her daughter Sasha. We suspect Sasha Bikoff had a hand in the decoration of this house too (the Pucci-covered chairs, the photographic bedroom wallpapers). (Both properties are for sale now as Jacqueline passed away last September.)
The 6800sf house is by McDonagh & Conroy. Unusual features include a glass solarium on the ground floor, a glass-enclosed wine store, and a clean-lined kitchen. There are eight bedrooms in all and 9.5 baths; the pool house includes a bath, bar, and upstairs rest area/changing room. The gunite pool and spa are a generous 40 x 20, and the overall plot size is 0.92 acre, standard for the area. As for the asking price, this will be a tough sell. Ms. Bikoff paid $10.7M for the house less than two years ago, and other properties in the area, with smaller houses but similar-size plots, are available for millions less.
