A shingled East Hampton Village home with impeccable green credentials

Cozy

This house, built in 2009, is "the only LEED platinum certified home" in the village. It offers a geothermal heating/cooling system, solar panels and an air filtration system, all of which should make it cheaper to run and healthier to live in. It’s also quite homey with attractive built-ins, a white marble kitchen and white marble bathrooms, and a finished lower level with home theater.

There are four bedrooms and 5.5 baths in 3200 square feet. Outside, there’s a sweet balcony off the master bedroom, a dining patio as well as stone surrounding the pool and spa. Plot size is 0.17 acre. Asking price for all this is $2.895M, which we find fairly reasonable, given the amenities.
