This scrappy little town bested all comers to take the prestigious fake trophy, despite all the complainers and naysayers. Real estate in Hampton Bays seems to get more popular and prestigious every year while still offering good value; for example, the new Ponquogue Point development offers luxury condos that start under $1M. The town also offers good shopping and restaurants without the nightmarish traffic east of the canal, and of course, downtown Southampton is only a few minutes' drive away. So congratulations to 11946, and to the rest, better luck next year.
