A Charming 1920s Farmhouse on Lumber Lane for $4M

New, 5 comments

This vintage farmhouse is loaded with charm, including original fireplaces, wide-plank flooring, and high ceilings. Particularly nice is the English-style conservatory out back. In all, there's 3100sf of space, with five bedrooms, two baths, and two powder rooms. Not enough room? There's also a "two-bedroom, one-bath guest suite with lounge area and kitchenette over the 2-car garage." What about your pool? Plenty of room on the 1.31 acres of land to build one. So what's the catch? It's located by the most nightmarish traffic intersection in the Hamptons. On the other hand, it's easy to walk to Starbucks for your morning coffee and muffin. Prices in the area are all over the place, but this plot size is more generous than most in the area, making us think $4M is a reasonable starting point.
