A Charming Two-Acre Compound in Southampton Village

New, 9 comments

We wrote about this colorful cottage back in March last year when it was featured in ELLE Decor. It belongs to the fashion designer Lorry Newhouse and her husband Mark. The property was once part of a larger estate, the Orchard, built by Stanford White and Charles McKim between 1898 and 1907. It consists of a four-bedroom main house, a three-bedroom legal guest cottage, pool house, pool, tool sheds, and 2.2 acres of lovely mature gardens. Asking price is $8.75M, which is probably about right given all that land, and it could possibly be subdivided with the two legal residences.
