First of all, @Bernies, in the cursed Napeague stretch spot, already has a Town & Country "Restaurant for Lease" sign in front. Valē @Bernies!
In happier news, Navy Beach raised $25,000 for the Navy SEAL Foundation this season. Well done! The restaurant's three year total of fundraising for the organization is now just over $60,000. The NSF is a not-for-profit organization that provides support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families.
Also doing well is Chef Michael Rozzi of the 1770 House Restaurant & Inn, who will present his "Hamptons cuisine" in the Big Smoke next month. The six-course tasting menu, themed "East End Land and Sea," will be served at the historic James Beard House on October 29.
The new season of Artists & Writers Nights at Almond kicks off Tuesday, October 13, at 7PM. East End native Tucker Marder, hosting, is currently a Carnegie Mellon graduate student in the Contextual Practice MFA program. Tucker's work has been exhibited at the National Aviary, The Phipps Botanical Garden and under water.
