The 40th Annual Hampton Classic ran from August 23 through August 30 in Bridgehampton. Known as one of the premier events on the East End, it's pretty much impossible not to be glamorized by the scenery and stunning horses completing jaw-dropping feats of wonder. After taking it all in, here are 5 of our favorite things from the Classic.
1. Gorgeous timekeeping.
In addition to sponsoring the Hampton Classic Grand Prix on Sunday, Longines décor was pretty much everywhere. Better known as the Swiss watch company of the rich and the richer, we couldn't stop crushing on the impressive clocks. Decadent and sophisticated, the official timekeeper of the Classic sure makes for stunning eye candy. Bonus, we think these timepieces make killer selfie backgrounds. Hello, social media!
2. Celebrity spotting.
The Hampton Classic is almost as famous for the beautiful people in attendance as it is for world-class equestrian riding. Celeb spotting on the East End is pretty old hat, but there's a real upside at this event. These beautiful people are decked out in hats.
3. ASPCA Day.
We love that the ASPCA was on hand to help our beloved four legged friends of the Hamptons find forever homes. Raising awareness of shelter animals never gets old!
4. Chic design trends.
Life is always more fun when surrounded by beautiful things. And, we loved the tables in the VIP area, which sported an equine-mod vibe. Bonus, we picked up a few tips for home décor when throwing a fashion-forward dinner party.
5. Hanging out with turtles.
The Kids Area of the horse show had some pretty adorable things going on. Sully the African Spur Tortoise from the Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons stole our hearts.
