Nobody wants to work at their weekend getaway, but sometimes it's inevitable. So when NYC interior design firm Décor Aid was asked to create a home office space in a Hamptons vacation house, they made sure to include a laid back Hamptons vibe. The space, in the attic loft area of the house, combines bleached reclaimed wood, reminiscent of driftwood, with tubular chrome Wassily chairs, industrial pendant lighting and cool mid-mod sofas. The designers took advantage of the interesting spaces in the attic, using one dormer as a window seat, and added a geometric room divider to break up the room between work and a sitting area. Result? Ideas that could be translated to any home office.
