Music for Montauk's First-Ever Summer Series

New, 1 comment

Next week kicks off the inaugural summer series for Music for Montauk, the revival of the local classical music institution. Events range from a tango trio at Solé East to Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals, played by chamber orchestra, one of two concerts under a festival tent at Third House (Montauk County Park).

The series starts next Tuesday with surprise pop-up concerts around town from Summer Series guest artists. Other events include a fundraiser at a private home featuring Spanish music, wine and tapas, and wrapping up on Saturday with another event at Third House, featuring Dvořák's famous "American" String Quartet and celebrating American composers Copland, Ives and Harrison. Get tickets to the tango concert and Spanish evening at the link below; other events are free.
