Schiavoni Building in Sag Harbor Going Condo

Yet another disused factory is to be turned into housing in Sag Harbor after getting ZBA approval. The G.F. Schiavoni Plumbing and Heating Company building on Jermain Avenue, which is in disrepair, will be allowed to be turned into four condo units. We're intererested to see what interesting plans architect Markus Dochantschi of studioMDA has for the interiors and it's good news that one of the last historical industrial buildings in the village will be preserved for the future. Next up are more meetings with the Sag Harbor Planning Board and the Architectural Review Board; if those bodies approve the project, the developers will apply for a building permit.
