We've done multiple stories about Blade, the iphone app that lets you crowdsource a helicopter ride, because folks never seem to get tired of posing for selfie glamour shots in front luxury choppers. Well, the company is taking things a step further by means of a partnership with designer Tamara Mellon. Blade recently introduced new ensembles for their customer experience [C/X] representatives to wear, because according to the Times, the designer said, "We thought, why should the C/X reps look like they were wearing a Halloween costume when they were leaving work? They should be in clothes they could wear out to dinner or to a club."
We can't help but think this is a bit of a throwback to the outfits sported by the flight attendants in director (and Hamptons resident) Steven Spielberg's drama, Catch Me if You Can. There's a white denim romper (don't worry, it's stretchy) that retails for $695 and a jumpsuit for $895. Both outfits are paired with kinky boots, think of songstress Nancy Sinatra belting out, These Boots are Made for Walking.
If your goal is to look like a Blade customer experience representative, you can purchase these outfits online or at Mellon's Southampton pop-up shop. Just think, you could be indistinguishable from Blade employees in your next aviation selfie. Dare to dream…
