This year's Hampton Designer Showhouse is up past Bridgehampton horse country into the peaceful woods. It's quite spacious at 6500sf, with a finished lower level and poolhouse, set on 3.4 acres. Of course there's an inviting pool and there will be tennis once the showhouse is over with. Asking price is $5.795M. We quite like the exterior façade—it avoids so many current Hamptons new-house clichés (Palladian windows, gambrels, curly gables). Besides the photos here, there's an extensive video tour after the jump.
But enough about the house—what about the designer decoration? We loved the use of strong color in some of the rooms—standouts include the lovely dining room by Barbara Page Home, the pink upstairs sitting room by Brian Patrick Flynn of Flynnside Out, the adorable powder room by Meredith Ostrom, and the green bedroom by Denise McGaha Interiors. We're suckers for luxurious bathrooms (not to mention Lalique glass), so our favorite room had to be the Lalique bathroom by Keith Baltimore Designs. Simply OTT with the Lalique table, mirror, perfume bottles and the fireplace next to the tub—we want to move in and never leave. We also loved the rec room by Melanie Roy, with deep, comfy velvet sofas, a Tresserra Bolero pool table, and a Guy Stanley Monopoly board painting. The pool house featured a "nothing is as it seems" kitchen, with faux-bois furniture, plastic stemware, and more, by Tyler Pankratz. Practical and pretty.
But don't just take our word for it: go visit the showhome! It benefits Southampton Hospital.
