Next June, the Hamptons is finally getting its own design and décor fair. Scheduled for June 3-5, 2016, the Hamptons Contemporary pavilion will be at the Elks fairground on CR-39. There will be 40,000sf of space devoted to high-end furniture and the like, including home theaters, lighting, wine cellars, wall coverings, custom cabinetry, kitchen and bath design, upholstery, architectural hardware, smart home technology, rugs, awnings, pools and spas, sunrooms, tile and marble, fireplaces, home fitness and so on. Founder Rick Friedman, who also launched ArtHamptons, says, "Our goal is to make clever simple and simple clever. Design is so simple. That is why it is so complicated. The fair offers many easy solutions to resolve this complexity." OK, then!
The opening night preview is Friday, June 3 from 5 to 8PM and will benefit a local charity. VIP admission is $100 per person and includes the preview and weekend access. General admission is $20 per person per day, while a weekend pass is $30.
