Storybook East Hampton House Has Just One Caveat

New, 17 comments

Welcome to another edition of Someone Has to Live on Main Street. Of course, there are some advantages to living on Main Street, too: walk to restaurants, shops, and the movies. The circa-1800 Daniel Osborne House has been beautifully renovated: it's 4000sf with six bedrooms and 4.5 baths. There are five fireplaces and nice old dark wood floors. The deep lot is almost an acre, with winding brick paths, a 20 'x 40' pool, a wisteria-covered pergola and a barn style three-car garage. Price for all this is $3.995M, which needs to be lowered. The property has been on the market for years now with no takers. What do you think is a reasonable price?
