Have Cocktails in the Clintons' Former Rental on Lily Pond Lane

Ring in the holiday season with cocktails at the oceanfront estate of Mr. and Mrs. Elie Hirschfeld on Friday, November 27. Yep, that's the house where Bill and Hillary Clinton summered for two years. It's to benefit the East Hampton Historical Society. Your $200 ticket includes entrance to the house tour the next day, which, rather excitingly, includes a visit to the normally closed Thomas & Mary Nimmo Moran house and studio. Built in 1884 and in the process of being restored, the Moran Studio was the first artist's studio built in East Hampton and played a significant role in American art history.

Other houses on the tour include (in picture order): an 1897 house on Dunemere Lane; a historical house restored with love on Main Street, Amagansett; a gambrel on Egypt Lane; a new house by Samet & Wold on Main Street, Amagansett; and a turn-of-the-last-century English-style guest cottage on Drew Lane.

Tickets to the tour are $65 in advance and $75 on the day. Tickets to the opening night cocktail party are $200, which includes entry to the house tour the next day. Tickets can be purchased at the EHHS office at 101 Main Street Tuesday – Saturday, 10 - 3:30, via the website, phone (631-324-6850), or at Clinton Academy on November 27 and 28 between 10 - 3:30.
