This 1912 house is really everything a classic summer house should be: shingled, updated, and south of the highway. Close to the East Hampton Duck Pond, the house's front porch overlooks the Egypt Lane green, making the 0.56-acre plot seem larger. There's a pool out back and a large detached garage. Inside, there are five bedrooms and four baths in 3500sf, everything being freshly renovated, including a nice kitchen with butler's panty. Asking price is $6.2M, which strikes us as somewhat high given the fairly small plot size—what do you think? Still, it seems like there's nothing for a buyer to do, which is also appealing.
