This year's Hamptons International Film Festival is almost here. Time to plan our weekend by watching trailers for all the big movies. What looks good to you? Bridge of Spies, above, is garnering excellent reviews, but then, what else do you expect from a Spielberg-directed film starring Tom Hanks and co-written by the Coen brothers? It's the festival's closing night film.
Truth: in the festival's opening-night film, Robert Redford plays Dan Rather in his final days with CBS News; Cate Blanchett plays his producer, Mary Mapes, who wrote the book on which the film is based.
When I Live My Life Over Again: A struggling singer-songwriter, played by Amber Heard, spends winter in the Hamptons with her singer icon father, played by Christopher Walken. (Note: trailer cannot be embedded, but you can watch it here on Vimeo.)
Spotlight: Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams and Michael Keaton are the Boston Globe reporters who broke the Catholic Church's child-molestation scandal.
Carol: Directed by Todd Haynes and based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith, Carol is set in 1950s New York. A married woman (Cate Blanchett) and a young shop clerk (Rooney Mara) fall in love.
Bridge of Spies: During the Cold War, an Brooklyn lawyer (Tom Hanks) is recruited by the CIA to help rescue a pilot detained in the Soviet Union.
