Have We Reached Peak Montauk?

New, 39 comments

Commenters have been arguing about Montauk in recent posts. There seem to be two camps: those who are fed up of overcrowding, noise, and dangerous traffic, and those who believe that "miserable old people" are stifling fun and needed summer business in Montauk and unfairly punishing the Surf Lodge and the Sloppy Tuna. And then there are always those who think Montauk is over and 2015 was the tipping point. What do you think? Was banning parking on Edgemere (by the Surf Lodge) overweening town interference? Is the town clamping down too hard on businesses locals need to survive? Have at it in the comments.
