Learn About Feversham, Southampton's Lost Colonial Port

As part of a lecture series celebrating Southampton's 375th anniversary, Tom Edmonds, Executive Director of the Southampton Historical Museum, will discuss the history of North Sea. In 1640 English pioneers landed near a Shinnecock fort that guarded their fishing camps on the Peconic Bay. This talk covers the tumultuous cultural changes in Southampton during the seventeenth century and the development of an important colonial port known as Feversham, in North Sea, whose history has been lost. Admission is free; reserve a seat by calling 283-0774 x523 or email yvette@myrml.org.
