Even the Artwork is Startled by This Modern North Sea House

New, 12 comments

We really quite like this modern house by Jason Thomas Design, although it reminds us of one of those Tony Rosenthal cube sculpture (the best known being Alamo in Astor Place). However, the artwork would have to be shown the door. Sorry, deer. Built in 2012, the house sports four bedrooms and five baths in 5300sf. Outside, there is 1.3 acres of land with patios, decks, a fireplace and a rather nice pool. The only caveat we have is the price, which is $3.2M. Seems high to us; the property (empty lot) sold for $540K in 2011. What do you think of the place?
