East Hampton Modern House with Cool Rollup Glass Doors

New, 18 comments

This barnlike new-build was designed by NYC architects Naiztat & Ham. It's just outside the village boundaries. The architects utilized glass garage doors for the great room, which means that they can be rolled up or down as desired; this would be great for entertaining. Outside the glass doors is a 48' gunite pool and pool house; the plot is small at 0.55 of an acre, but that's pretty standard for this part of town. There are master bedrooms on each floor and three more bedrooms, with 5.5 bathrooms. The basement lower level is also finished, with space for a gym, media room, playroom and so on. Asking price is $3.895M, which doesn't seem out of line; the house next door at 30 Huntting Lane, a traditional home on a similar size plot, sold for $3.4M in 2013.
