Sunday, September 28, from 4-7PM, a host of notable East End foodies will gather at the Westhampton Beach Country Club for a fundraiser. S.E.E.D (Sustainable East End Development), organized by the American Culinary Federation's Eastern Long Island Chefs Chapter and Slow Food East End, will bring together restaurants, chefs, wineries, and farms, including Lia Fallon of Brewology, Michael Meehan of Noyac Golf Club, Craig Attwood of Jedediah Hawkins, Guy Reuge of Mirabelle Tavern, Gerry Hayden and Kevin Penner of The North Fork Table, Noah Schwartz of noah's, Todd Jacobs of Fresh Hamptons, Southampton Publick House, St. James Brewery, Lenz Winery, One Woman Wines and Vineyards, Mattebella Vineyards, Sang Lee Farms, Long Island Mushroom, Race Rock Oyster, Margene Farms, Invincible Summer Farms and Browder's Birds.
PBS host Chef George Hirsch is the master of ceremonies. Proceeds will benefit Slow Food's Edible Garden Project and ACF's Chefs Move to School, in which farmers and chefs plant, harvest and cook from gardens created in East End schools. $75 for standard admission; $125 for VIP admission.
