Rule the Waves for a Good Cause in Montauk on Saturday

This Saturday, July 26, don your swim cap for a good cause. The sixth annual Montauk Ocean Swim Challenge will raise money to benefit the future indoor pool at the Montauk Playhouse Community Center. This event, which incidentally is one of the few ocean races on the Eastern seaboard, offers three distance categories: half-mile, one-mile, and 5K, with youth and adult divisions. Register online at active.com or you can register the day of the event at the Ditch Plains parking lot at 5:30AM. Fees range from $25 (half-mile, in advance) to $70 (day-of) and include T-shirt, swim cap, breakfast, and bragging rights.
