Behold the New Ponquogue Manor Complex in Hampton Bays

New, 18 comments

The long-aborning Ponquogue Manor complex in Hampton Bays is getting close to completion. The project, in the works since 2008, is on the site of the old Allen's Acres Resort Motel, and is named after the stretch of land along Shinnecock Bay. The three-acre site, designed by Zyscovich Architects, features 24 townhomes, pool, boat launch facilities and on-site marina. One-, two- and three-bedroom residences range from 1,000 to 2,500sf, with beamed ceilings, fireplaces and decks; some have ground level terraces, others have roof decks. Prices begin at $599,000.

Materials used include natural cedar with white trim, sections of copper roofs and fieldstone chimneys, while the landscaping includes high hedges. "The enclave will bring a new feeling of vibrancy to this part of the Hamptons while preserving an atmosphere and environment that are in keeping with the community's long-establish image and heritage," said Bernard Zyscovich, FAIA. "It will appear as though these homes have been part of their surroundings for decades."
