Last year, we suggested some East End houses for entertainment mogul Simon Cowell to buy along with his baby mama Lauren Silverman. Cowell unaccountably failed to heed our advice, and now word has it that he and Lauren are looking to rent a place this summer. [Update: they rented a place in Bridgehampton!] Since we are nothing but obliging, we ferreted out some rentals for him. We decided to skip the more obvious homes like Joe Farrell's Sandcastle (pictured above) this time (although we do think it would be perfect for Cowell). Which do you think Cowell should take?
19 Lee Avenue, East Hampton; hreo
Price: $500,000 (MD-LD)
The Lowdown: This old-school Hamptons summer house has been renovated throughout to the high standards Simon and Lauren expect. Boasting 10,000sf, this stunner has 10 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. If that's not enough space for you, there's also a pool house and a children's playhouse for Lauren's older boy.
28 Hildreth Lane, Sagaponack; hreo
Price: $500,000 (MD-LD)
The Lowdown: For the contemporary lovers, here's a trendy Sagaponack property with a gorgeous pool, nine bedrooms (enough for the nanny and security team!) and views over Poxabogue Pond. Walking distance to Wolffer! This property, with only 1.25 acres of land, is probably not impressive enough for Mr. Cowell, though.
90 Briar Patch Road, East Hampton; hreo
Price: $500,000 (Aug-LD)
The Lowdown: This beautiful, elegant estate will offer Simon and Lauren tons of privacy, with its 11.2 acres of land. It also boasts gorgeous views over Georgica Pond, a five bedroom main house, a four bedroom guest house for the staff, pool, tennis, and comes complete with his-and-hers sailboats, kayaks, and paddle boards. Ours is a G&T, Simon.
