We acknowledge that summer just started, but we also know that social calendars fill up fast. Dan's Taste of Summer is easily one of our favorite events that spans an entire weekend of fabulous food, drinking, dancing, and intense competition. Throw in celebrity guests and it's an affair that's not to be missed! We've got the skinny on what you need to know…
Dan's Grill Hampton takes place on Friday, July 11, from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Sayre Park, 156 Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton. We love this event, because 8 chefs from the East End throw down against 8 Manhattan chefs. All attendees get a vote (yes, that means you!), and Food Network's Robert Irvine will be hosting. Please forgive our pun, but we're wondering if he will task the chefs with any impossible missions. From the Hamptons, Peter Ambrose of Peter Ambrose Events, Billy Oliva of Delmonico's, Victor Tapia of The Palm East Hampton, and others will be pitted against Mark Prince of Market Table, Harold Moore of Commerce, and Paul Denamiel of Le Rivage. Tickets are $120 for this event.
Dan's Taste of Two Forks takes place at the same venue on Saturday, July 12, with VIP admission starting at 6:30 pm and general admission beginning at 7:30 pm. The event lasts until 10 pm. The best restaurants and winemakers team up for this party which features food from Nammos, Navy Beach, Nick & Toni's, The Bell & Anchor, Topping Rose, and so many of our favorite Hamptons hotspots. Geoffrey Zakarian and Katie Lee will be on hand hosting the event. Tickets are $160 for general admission and $240 for VIP admission, this includes early entry and a gift bag. Weekend tickets are $260 for general admission to both events; $340 includes VIP entrance to a Taste of Two Forks and a Grill Hampton ticket.
