It's time to check in again with Watchcase, the ambitious new development of the former Bulova watch factory in Sag Harbor. Cape Advisors, the developers, report that sales have been strong; the loft style apartments in the original factory building are 75% sold. On June 1, the final residences will be introduced, including penthouses in the factory building, townhouses, and bungalows. The luxuriously detailed bungalows can be seen in the rendering of the complex's beautiful courtyard and pool, above, exclusive to Curbed. Work on the plantings, designed by Quennell Rothschild & Partners, will begin later this month.
This summer, Watchcase will be the site of the annual Holiday House Hamptons designer showhouse, a fundraiser for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, presented in conjunction with HC&G (Hamptons Cottages & Gardens). Interior designers will transform various spaces within three Watchcase homes: a Factory Loft residence, poolside bungalow and townhouse. Holiday House Hamptons will hold their Opening Night White Gala fundraiser at Watchcase on June 28. The showhouse then opens to the public from June 29 through August 10. Admission is $35, with proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
