Ultra-Modern Roger Ferris Design on the Bay in Sag Harbor

New, 16 comments

This seven-bedroom rectangle, with an attached guest house, was designed by Roger Ferris and is yours for $13M. Ferris once created an art gallery and pool adjacent to a house by Philip Johnson, so we suppose Ferris knows his way around glass boxes. Built in 2012, the place was designed to "capture and frame spectacular water views." OK! The cantilevered staircase is also pretty great. The design "maximizes transparency between interior spaces," including the bathrooms. Erm…OK? We like a bit of privacy ourselves, but we guess it's nice to be able to wave to boaters in the bay while taking a bath. The house also features a "leeward lap pool" that "aligns with the opening between building forms."
