At least we have an explanation for the creepy artwork with the huge eyes in most rooms—one of the former owners is an ophthalmologist. This place spent a couple years on the market, starting out at $24M in February 2012. By last autumn, the price had dropped to $21M; now the place has been sold for $20M. For that, the lucky new owners get a gorgeous (well, we think so, anyway—many commenters begged to differ) 8000sf modern house by a master architect, 2.44 acres of prime Sagaponack land close to the ocean, pool, pool house, and tennis court.
