Eight Acres in Southampton Now a Mere $36M

New, 5 comments

Well, it's four months since (what remains of the classic great estate) Villa Mille Fiore went on the market. This week the price has been chopped $2 million, down to a mere-bag-of-shells $36M. So what do you get for that dough? Two cottages, a garage, tennis court, a 40' x 60' pool and pool house (one commenter back in November snarked, "I was gonna pass on purchasing this until the Sotheby's listing informed me that there's a "Golf cart on the premises." Sold!"), and the all-important eight acres of land, which have been subdivided. The property is beautifully landscaped with old gardens and trees from when the original mansion was built in 1910. And of course, location is great, with "the ocean beckoning at the end of the street." (Er, what?) We'll see if this pricechop gets an offer.
