While in theory, $8.9M is not overpriced for 1.8 acres and a 4000sf house on prestigious Captains Neck Lane, there's something underwhelming about this c. 1940 property. Outside, it's pleasant, with painted brick and a slate roof; there's a gunite pool and pool house. Inside, it all kind of falls apart. The kitchen is way too small; the bathrooms need redoing, and even the bedrooms fail to wow. (Hey, don't bother making those beds when marketing your nine million dollar house!) It'll probably need some pricechops before it sells.
