The 2014 SUMMER RENTAL ROUNDUP: Amagansett Edition

New, 7 comments

Hamptons rentals run the gamut from modest to superlative, from reasonably priced to Holy Crap! Curbed bring you three rentals per destination in various prices as we head east. Today we look at homes in the peaceful town of Amagansett.

Modest
88 Osprey Road, Amagansett; Brown Harris Stevens
Price: $50,000 (MD-LD)
The Lowdown: Clearly not brimming in Hamptons opulence, we just adore this 2000sf property. If you don't have an unlimited bank account, this place is everything that a beach cottage should be. The bright kitchen with blue lights, wood floors and double height living area have us in the mood to move right in. True there is no pool, but we think living 1 block away from the beach more than compensates for that!

Nice
68 Gansett Lane, Amagansett; Elliman
Price: $135,000 (MD-LD)
The Lowdown: Just barely South of the Highway, this 3300sf house on the Lanes gives off that 1980s not-so-chic feel. Spacious enough for a few people, there's an outdoor shower, heated pool and barbeque. Not terribly fancy, we still think the turret is a nice architectural feature. And the cul-de-sac address should help with privacy.

Holy Crap!
183 Marine Boulevard, Amagansett; Elliman
Price: $375,000 (MD-LD)
The Lowdown: This truly is a holy crap! listing. If you want to live right on the ocean, it doesn't get much better. Boasting 3500sf, this 5 bedroom 6.5 baths is awesome. Swanky finishes with a private beach pathway (seriously, nobody has that!) have us drooling. The second story heated pool and hot tub aren't bad either. Our thoughts? Just pack up your swimsuit and enjoy the best of the Amagansett Dunes. Views like this never get old!
