Interesting Springs Artist's House Sells for Full Asking Price

New, 2 comments

This black-painted cube, by designer Joseph D'Urso, with black floors, hit the market back in August asking $950K. It's probably not what you'd expect to find in a leafy three-acre (actually, 2.89 to be precise) enclave in Springs. But all commenters liked it: "L O V E it. Renovate on a budget or spend a ton…you'd get your money back whatever you spend.3 acres!!!! Insane. Wonderful starting structures in place to work with. It could be the most exciting best purchase you'd ever make!" and "I really like this house. Can't tell what the flooring is--if it's carpet I'd rip it all out. Kitchens and baths probably need to be redone, but that's OK at this price." And "This place is a no brainer. 25 cheap tricks in 1 weekend and this place pops to life."

Someone else did too, because the place just closed last week (fast) for full asking price. Well done! The property also abuts a preserve so there's plenty of privacy to be found. The house itself is small, 1700sf, with three bedrooms and three baths, and there's also a 325sf artist's studio on the property.
