That was fast! When we broke the news less than a month ago that Bridget Jones actress Renee Zellweger had put her charming Egypt Lane farmhouse on the market, it made headlines worldwide. Which apparently meant a bidding war broke out over the sweet c. 1900 house. According to the New York Post, the closing on the property was last Friday and the final price was about $4.7M. Buyers were Dr. Jeffrey Geller, an orthopedic surgeon, and Leigh Geller, a former assistant DA for Manhattan.
The house isn't huge at 2000sf, with four bedrooms and three baths, but it's been nicely renovated, and of course Egypt Lane is a prestigious street. There's 0.91 of an acre of land and you can walk to everything in town or the beach.
