New, 1 comment

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what you can rent or buy for a set dollar amount in various Hamptons towns. Is one person's studio another person's palace? Let's find out! Today's price: $1M and under.

In Sag Harbor, you could purchase a four-bedroom, 2.5 bath modified saltbox for $1M. There's a pool and a studio above the two-car garage, all on just under half an acre. Tired of poolwater? Walk to Long Beach.

What about a house in the northern part of Water Mill with five bedrooms, four baths, set on 0.8 acre? The kitchen has been recently renovated, and there's a gunite pool and "sport court." Ask is $1M.

In Quogue, you could choose a four bedroom contemporary, set on one acre with pool and tennis court. The house is open-plan, with plenty of light and space; asking price is $1M.

In Montauk, you can opt for the smallest, cheapest home at $939K. It's got two bedrooms and two baths, but there are views to the ocean from the upstairs living room, and 1.04 acre of land.

East Hampton Northwest's offering is a contemporary with access to a private beach by Gardiner's Bay asking $1M. There are four bedrooms, four baths, and a saltwater pool, all on 0.98 of an acre.
