The well-loved easygoing eatery on Montauk Highway has closed down. Everyone bid farewell to all those Bloodies, margaritas, seafood and burgers.

Out: Seth Levine and Jennifer Oz LeRoy at Gurney's
After Gurney's relaunched this year under new owners, executive chef Seth Levine and food and beverage director Jennifer Oz LeRoy were brought on board with great fanfare. But after a successful summer season, both have opted not to renew their contracts, focusing on other projects.

Coming back?: Highway Diner
The well-liked casual joint in the "cursed" spot was taken over by Shuko for a summer pop-up. According to an ad in the East Hampton Star, Highway Diner is currently looking for staff. We sent owner David Kuperschmid an email about plans for the spot but haven't heard back.
