La Fondita will celebrate the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos with kids' crafts by the Golden Eagle Art Store on Saturday, November 1 (raindate Sunday November 2) from 10 to 11:30AM. Kids age 5 and up will decorate their own skulls, play games, and enjoy La Fondita treats. Cost is $10 per child and the event will benefit a local family in need. La Fondita will offer specials in honor the day on November 1 and 2, including pork and chicken tamales, churros with chocolate, and Atole de Pina, the traditional drink of Day of the Dead, which is a warm beverage with pineapple.
