Senior Housing Proposal to be Presented to Southampton Village Board Today

New, 1 comment

A new senior condo complex has been proposed for Southampton Village; developers will present a plan to the village board today. The proposal allows for 56 units of multifamily dwellings. In order to go ahead, the 11 acres of land, located on Moses Lane, would require a zoning change from half-acre residential to multifamily. However, village code allows for developments within a mile of the business district to include up to six units per acre if the village board approves. The proposal includes 14 two-story buildings with four units each, a clubhouse, and a large pool. If approved, this would be the first senior development in the village.
