The East Hampton Group for Wildlife, which has steadfastly opposed the plan to cull deer in the town of East Hampton, and filed a lawsuit against the town, the village, and its trustees, is planning a rally and demonstration in East Hampton. Its founder, Bill Craine, says, "We want to express, in a visible way, the depth of opposition to the deer cull. Every day I receive emails from East Hampton residents who say they are 'appalled' and 'sickened' by the plan to use sharpshooters to kill hundreds of deer. They ask, 'How can I help stop this?'" The rally will begin at 1PM in front of Hook Mill.
